'Game of Change' reunion reognizes moment of history

The 1963 "Game of Change" started with a handshake.
On Sunday afternoon at Humphrey Coliseum on the campus of Mississippi State, two individuals that participated in that game greeted each other again at midcourt.

Bulldogs edge Ramblers in OT

The Mississippi State Bulldogs were not as sharp as they wanted to be on Sunday afternoon, but they still had a pretty good Sword.
Sophomore guard Craig Sword scored 24 points, one off his career high, as MSU defeated the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers 65-64 in the "Game of Change" reunion game at Humphrey Coliseum.
With the overtime win, the Bulldogs improved their record to 5-1.

MSU's Jackson enjoys rewarding senior year

After last season, Gabe Jackson had a big decision to make.
The Mississippi State offensive guard almost opted out of his senior year and put his name in the National Football League Draft hat. He decided not to do that and returned to Starkville for his senior season.

Panthers play well in rematch

French Camp met up with a familiar foe Friday night.
Last year the Panthers and Stringer kicked off the Class A State championship game where in the end, the Red Devils left Jackson victorious.
This season French Camp switched divisions moving south which set up the game against Stringer one week earlier as the pair faced off for the South State championship.

'Game of Change' point of emphasis for Bulldogs today

Nearly 51 years ago, a Mississippi State basketball team defied the race barrier and competed in the NCAA Tournament.
What has become known as the "Game of Change," the Bulldogs snuck out of Starkville one cold 1963 night to go play the Loyola Ramblers, composed mostly of African Americans, to participate in postseason play.
Loyola beat the Bulldogs that night 61-51.

Jackets sting Bulldogs 60-55

The Starkville Yellowjackets knew the challenge was going to be difficult against the much-bigger Brandon Bulldogs in the final game of the Starkville Thanksgiving Classic Saturday night.
Starkville showed it was up for the challenge and claimed a 60-55 victory at home.

MSU's Dillingham works to improve

Dominique Dillingham still calls her shooting a work in progress.
Even after a night last week where she scored a career-high 18 points, the freshman on the Mississippi State women's basketball team knows she can do better.
Dillingham only made 5-of-10 shot attempts in an 81-63 victory for the Bulldogs against Savannah State last Tuesday night and vows to improve on the percentage.
