HATTIESBURG – The Starkville Academy Lady Volunteers earned an important victory on the road Friday night and used a big second quarter to defeat Presbyterian Christian 53-43.
It was a meeting of the two top teams in Class AAA as Starkville Academy improved to 22-0 and Presbyterian Christian lost for only the second time this season and fell to 18-2.
YAZOO CITY – The Starkville High School Lady Yellowjackets jumped out to a first-quarter lead and never looked back in taking a 48-28 Class 5A, Region 2 win over Yazoo City on Friday night.
