Â Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 3, 2014 at St. Matthew Missionary Baptist Church with Reverend Nathaniel Best, Officiating.Â
Visitation will be Friday, May 2,Â 2014: 12:00 -6:00Â p.m. at West Memorial Chapel, Starkville, Mississippi.Â
Mrs. Louise Thweatt Strickland, 94, died April 30, 2014 at her residence.Â Funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 3, at 11 am from the Southern Funeral Home Chapel in Durant.Â Visitation will begin at 9am prior to the service.Â Interment will be in the Browning Hillcrest Cemetery in Goodman, MS.
Russell N. Gaston, 70, passed away on May 1, 2014 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.Â He was Secretary/Treasurer of East Mississippi Lumber Company, Inc. and a member of First Presbyterian Church.Â He was former Vice President of the Bank of Oxford and received his B.A. from University of Alabama in piano and organ.Â He was also a veteran of the United State Navy.

William (Sonny) H. Coggins, 78, passed away on April 27, 2014 at North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo, MS.Â He was retired from Howard Furniture and a member of Longview Baptist Church.Â He was founding member of Talking Warrior Coon Hunting Club.

John Wesley Herring, Jr., went to be with the Lord on April 27, 2014, surrounded by his family in his home in Starkville, Mississippi.Â He was born on August 8, 1927, in Lincoln County, Mississippi, to Wesley and Winnie Herring.Â He spent his childhood in Lincoln County surrounded by loving parents, siblings, aunts, uncles, and cousins.Â He served in the Navy during World War II and then graduated
