Â Â Robbie Nell Penton Thomas, 78, of Huntsville, AL, formerly a resident of Starkville, MS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2014. Â She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Garnett Â J. Thomas. Â
Mr. Willie James (Jim) Collins 87, passed away May 12, 2014 in Starkville, MS. Service will be Saturday May 17, 2014 @ 11:00 a.m. At St. Paul M.B. Church-Hwy. 389, Starkville, MS. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday May 16, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 6:00p.m. At Century Hairston Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Rev. John F. Johnson pastor and officiant.
Patricia Ann Hudspeth, 69, passed away on May 14, 2014 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.Â She was a retired Registered Nurse with OCH Regional Medical Center and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Hudspeth; and step-father, W. O. Owen.
A memorial service will be held for Euzema Berny Wilkes at
Moore Funeral Home in Petal, MS on May 10 at 1:30. Berny
was born in Richton in 1921 and died in Petal on May 2, 2014.
He was a World War II veteran and played football at the University
of Southern Mississippi. An avid golfer and outdoorsman,
he coached football at Petal High School for three years
Mrs. Sarah Butler 91, of Starkville, MS passed away April 30, 2014 in Meridian, MS. Services are Saturday May 10, 2014 @ 1:00p.m. At Sand Creek M.B. Church, Starkville, MS. Burial will be in St. Paul Cemetery, Starkville, MS. Visitation are Friday May 9, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 6:00 p.m. At Century Hairton Funeral Home in Starkville, MS.
Terry Phillip "Buck" Buchanon passed away peacefully at his home May 6, 2014. He is survived by his wife, Belinda Garrard Jennings Buchanon, his daughter, Jennifer (Bryan) Kilgore from Starkville, two grandsons, Connor and Cody Kilgore, his mother, Frances Burson Buchanon of Star City, AR, and two brothers, Michael (Vickie) Buchanon and Ralph (Mellie) Buchanon.
Nancy Katherine Lindley was born August 18, 1924 in Louisville, Kentucky; the youngest of five children and the only daughter of Richard Bass and Erma Lou Hopper Penick. Â The family moved to Macon, Mississippi while Nancy was still in grade school, where her father found work as a carpenter.
