Betty Gunn Burrell, 84, homemaker, died May 26, 2014 in Columbus.Â Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Southern Funeral Home in Durant.Â Visitation will begin at 10:30 am.Â Interment will be in Mizpah Cemetery.Â

William Fred â€śBillâ€ť Buckner went to be with his Saviour on May 23, 2014 after a long battle with Leukemia. A celebration service of his life was held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at First Baptist Church Jackson, MS. A graveside service was held at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at Craig Springs Cemetery in Craig Springs, MS.
Dorothy Wamble, â€śDotâ€ť, age 92, passed away on May 23, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi.Â Mrs. Wamble was a homemaker and has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Starkville since 1955.Â She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the OCH Auxillary.
Willie Clarence Jones, age 73, of Portage, Indiana, passed away December 31, 2013.
Willie was born January 21, 1940 to Clarence andÂ Â LavadaÂ Jones.
Willie is survived by wife Dorothy(Watson), son Shawn(mystic),daughters Adriane Jagger, and
Juliann Hudgins. Grand children Summer, Dustin, Drake and Jennifer(Tim).1 great grand son
Â Â Robbie Nell Penton Thomas, 78, of Huntsville, AL, formerly a resident of Starkville, MS, went to be with her Lord and Savior on May 18, 2014. Â She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 25 years, Garnett Â J. Thomas. Â
Mr. Willie James (Jim) Collins 87, passed away May 12, 2014 in Starkville, MS. Service will be Saturday May 17, 2014 @ 11:00 a.m. At St. Paul M.B. Church-Hwy. 389, Starkville, MS. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday May 16, 2014 from 12:00 noon to 6:00p.m. At Century Hairston Funeral Home in Starkville, MS. Rev. John F. Johnson pastor and officiant.
Patricia Ann Hudspeth, 69, passed away on May 14, 2014 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.Â She was a retired Registered Nurse with OCH Regional Medical Center and member of Emmanuel Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denny Hudspeth; and step-father, W. O. Owen.
A memorial service will be held for Euzema Berny Wilkes at
Moore Funeral Home in Petal, MS on May 10 at 1:30. Berny
was born in Richton in 1921 and died in Petal on May 2, 2014.
He was a World War II veteran and played football at the University
of Southern Mississippi. An avid golfer and outdoorsman,
he coached football at Petal High School for three years
