Garcia Gerald Berry, Jr.

January 2, 2014

Garcia Gerald Berry, Jr., 66, died Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson. A memorial service will be held at a later date. A native of Lyon, MS, Gerald was a graduate of Mississippi State University and attended SMU.  He was known as “The Legend” in Starkville where he practiced photography and supported local musicians.

Marion Prichard Coggin died Jan. 1, 2014. She was 91 and lived in Jackson since 1958. Her husband, Sam Coggin, died in 1997.

Roosevelt Patterson, 57, died Friday, December 27, 2013, in Jackson, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2013 at First Baptist Church Longview, Starkville, Mississippi with Reverend Larnzy Carpenter  officiating. Visitation will be Friday, January 3, 2013 from 1-6:00 p.m, at West Memorial Funeral Home.

Candy went to be with her Lord on the morning of January 1, 2014.  She passed away quietly in her sleep at home.

Kay Francis Mapp Hardy died December 21st at the age of 80 at her home in Starkville Mississippi.  Kay was born September 27th 1933 to the late Rolfe H. Mapp and Vera Boykin Mapp in Jones County Mississippi. She was married to the late Major Joel L. Hardy of Buckatuna Mississippi.
