Dr. T. Glen Reeves, 72, died Sunday, December 23, 2012, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, MS.Â A memorial service for Glen will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2012, at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Memories on the Mississippi State University campus.Â The Reverend Lynn Phillips-Gaines of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection in Starkville, MS, will officiate.
Mr. Dalton Lee Miller, 90, passed away April 29, 2013 at his home in Starkville, MS.Â He was the son of the late Clint and Pearl Miller of Blue Springs, MS; brother of the late Otis K. Miller of Laurel, MS and A. Bernard Miller of Grenada, MS; husband of 54 years to Juanita C. Miller, who passed away August 20, 2001; father to Molly E. Miller, who passed away September 16, 2009.Â
Byron L. "Butch" Brumfield, Jr. passed away Friday, April 19, 2013 after an extended battle with cancer.Â Butch was born in Laurel, Ms. June 18, 1966.Â He graduated from Gulfport High School in 1984.Â After graduation he attended Mississippi State University.Â
Services for Thelma â€śGrannyâ€ť Williams, 90, will be held Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Adaton Baptist Church.Â Viewing will be from 1:00-2:30 p.m.Â The memorial service will begin at 2:30 p.m.Â Rev. Tom Daniel and Rev. Hal Selby will officiate.Â Burial will follow in Memorial Garden Park Cemetery.Â Mrs. Williams died Monday, April 15, 2013 in her home in Starkville.
Leon C. McWilliams, Jr., age 91, passed away on April 14, 2013 at Oktibbeha County Hospital.Â Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 2:00pm at the First Baptist Church, 106 E Lampkin Street, Starkville, MS 39759.Â Visitation will be in the church sanctuary prior to the funeral service starting at 12:00 noon.Â Interment will follow in Oddfellows Cemetery.
Bette Ward Scales of Collierville, TN, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2013 in her home. She was 85 years old.Â Bette is preceded in death by her husband, Sam W.
Ruth D. Peil, 88, devoted mother and grandmother passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 28, 2013 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko.
Martha Anne Ferriss Parker, of Florence, Alabama, passed away unexpectedly on April 7, 2013. She was born October 29, 1926 in Shaw, Mississippi to William Douglas and Lellie Meadow Ferriss. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to so many. Martha Anne grew up in Shaw, Mississippi and graduated from Shaw High School, Class of 1944.
Jonathan Kensey Brown, 46, passed away on April 9, 2013 in Columbus, MS.Â He was a Helicopter Test Pilot for American Eurocopter and had been a pilot for 28 years.Â He was also a graduate of Embry Riddle, where he received his bachelor's degree in Aeronautics Safety and recently attended Pinelake Church in Starkville.Â He loved to fish and go to the beach with his children.Â He was an excellent fa
