Davis: Mickey, Minnie Mouse are in love

February 10, 2013

Saint Valentine's Day is February 14, but Valentine's can be every day of the year.

My take on Super Bowl

February 9, 2013

I’m still mulling over the messages delivered by television advertising during the big game on Super Bowl Sunday. Memories of family hike, discovery of special sanctuary

February 3, 2013

I want to take you down memory lane with my family — Daddy, Mama, Johnny and me — deep into the woods of the National Noxubee Wildlife Refuge in the early 1950s which led us to the discovery of a very special sanctuary. One of our favorite things to do as a family was to take a long Sunday afternoon hike back down to the refuge.

The art of hiding imperfections

February 3, 2013

Deluded though I am, I fancy myself a master at concealing my imperfections to achieve the illusion that I’ve got my act together. Ha. Like people don’t know I draw on my eyebrows every morning before I go out to pick up the paper.
