For 11 Mississippi State University fine arts students, years of creative expression and hard work comes down to their much-anticipated thesis exhibition debuting Tuesday.
Art student Jesse Thames said the show's title, "Commune," expresses unity and communication through a diverse amount of individuals.

Arts and crafts will not be the only thing selling out Friday during First United Methodist Church's annual Christmas Handworks Bazaar.
Once again, members of FUMC Starkville are pulling out their best recipes in anticipation for the hungry crowds sure to gather in the church's Christian Life Center.

A couple of years ago, I wrote about a new plant I found for the fall landscape called golden thryallis. We planted some in our landscape at Coastal Research and Extension Center in Biloxi, and I have it growing in a large container at my house.

A friend of mine recently told me that her teenage daughter asked her to braid her hair. My friend asked her if she needed it to be upbraided while she braided her hair. She said, “Don, maybe you could weave the word upbraided into a future Vaughan’s Vocabulary column.”
