City clerk hire still pending

The Starkville Board of Aldermen interviewed Lesa Hardin and Jeanette Mitchell-Bailey for the city clerk position at a called meeting Monday at the Starkville Sportsplex, but deferred choosing between the two until today’s regular city meeting at the earliest.

Tickets are on sale today for season ticket­holders of the Starkville Community Theatre’s upcoming production of the classic Southern tale, “Steel Magnolias,” set for Feb. 13 - 16 and 18 - 22 at the Playhouse on Main. Tickets are $15 for adults, $10 for students and will be on sale for the general public Saturday.
