A three-vehicle accident in Webster County near Maben Monday morning left one Maben resident dead and hospitalized three others.
Webster County Coroner Steve Wells pronounced 27-year-old Thomas Cass Johnson dead at the scene of the accident. Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) spokesman Sgt. Criss Turnipseed said the accident took place at around 10 a.m. on Highway 15 just north of Highway 82.
Starkville aldermen could plausibly select the cityâ€™s next chief administrative officer today when it meets this evening at City Hall.
The skies may have been clear and blue in Starkville Monday, but the weather outside was still frightful.

The Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors agreed on a plan to move forward in vetting candidates for the county administrator position opening.
The board accepted applications to the position after former County Administrator Don Posey resigned after 18 years from the position in December. The board accepted potential candidatesâ€™ resumĂ©s through Dec. 31.
