Supes to meet with hospital

Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors agreed during its regular meeting Monday to pursue a joint meeting with OCH Regional Medical Center trustees that would address the state of local health care and the future of the hospital.

Case against circuit clerk dismissed

A United States District Judge dismissed a federal lawsuit against Oktibbeha County Circuit Clerk Glenn Hamilton following failure by the plaintiff to properly serve summons to the defendants.

CREATE president addresses Starkville Rotary Club members

Before he became president of Northeast Mississippi’s CREATE Foundation, Mike Clayborne was head of Starkville’s Chamber of Commerce and a member of Starkville’s Rotary Club. So, when he returned to Starkville to address its Rotary Club Monday, he said the effect was interesting.

“I think I know more people in this room than I know in the Tupelo Rotary Club,” Clayborne said.

Board to consider $5 million bond commitment

Starkville Board of Aldermen will consider a resolution to commit $5 million in bonds for the purposes of industrial development in the city.
