State court denies city complex reconsideration

The Mississippi Supreme Court issued an order Wednesday denying William McGovern’s motion to reconsider his appeal of Starkville’s municipal facility construction plan.

Program for deaf, blind has slow start in Miss.

A new program rolled out last summer across the nation to provide new ways for deaf-blind citizens to connect and interact with the world around them, but it’s been a surprisingly hard sell in Mississippi.

Petal man killed in wreck

A Petal man was killed early Friday morning when his Toyota Camry collided head-on with an 18-wheeler on Highway 82 about two miles west of the intersection with Highway 182.
