Pay raises for board, mayor to be reviewed

The Starkville Board of Aldermen will consider a recommendation from the city’s audit and budget committee to increase the salaries of the mayor and aldermen at its 5:30 p.m. meeting today at City Hall.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Mississippi State was looking to extend its bowl winning streak to six games, while Northwestern was looking to win its first bowl game since 1949.

When the dust settled, the No. 21 (Associated Press) Wildcats (10-3) ended their nine-game bowl losing streak.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Northwestern Wildcats are taking the same approach, but in totally different ways.

The Bulldogs (8-4) face off against the No. 21 (Associated Press) Wildcats today in the TaxSlayer.com Gator Bowl in Jacksonville, Fla. Kickoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. and can be seen on ESPN2.
