Harper faces minor party opposition for 3rd term

JACKSON — Republican Gregg Harper is the only one of Mississippi’s four congressmen who doesn’t face major party opposition on Nov. 6.

Doss gets 20 years for manslaughter

Kewon Delarryous Doss was found guilty of manslaughter during the third and final week of Oktibbeha County Circuit Court’s fall term.
He was sentenced to 20 years in prison.

Doss was previously charged with killing 38-year-old Larry Davis, his uncle, in January.
