Cochran Research Park housing plans pass zoning hurdle

The Starkville Planning and Zoning Commission recommended approval of plans for a corporate housing complex at the Thad Cochran Research Park Tuesday, adding new conditions to the recommendation after extensive discussion of ways the project could meet more of its potential.

Norton ordered to pay insurance bill

Robbie Norton of Cedar Bluff was ordered Friday by the Clay County Circuit Court to pay a total of $220,080 to Metropolitan Casualty in relation to the May 22, 2011 collision that left Starkville resident Jan Morgan in critical condition.
