MDAH board lauds local efforts to preserve history

The Mississippi Department of Archives and History’s board of trustees honored multiple city, county and campus organizations for their efforts to preserve local historic landmarks during the board’s visit to Mississippi State University last week for its quarterly meeting.

Special election to replace Sturgis alderman coming

The city of Sturgis will hold a special election from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Sturgis Volunteer Fire Department to select a new alderman to finish the unexpired term of Quinnia Yates.
