MSU, Alabama series has SEC implications

There have been times this season when the Mississippi State Bulldogs played like a team that was going to win the Southeastern Conference Western Division.
There have also been times when the Bulldogs have played like they weren't going to win it.

Alabama was the first major school to recruit Jake Vickerson out of junior college.
The Tuscaloosa native attended Shelton State Community College in Alabama out of high school, and contemplated attending the Southeastern Conference university in his home town.
Instead, he accepted a scholarship offer from Mississippi State.

Starkville to be tested in jamboree by Brandon

Starkville High School football coach Jamie Mitchell wanted a challenge for his team at the end of spring practice.
It comes in the form of the Brandon Bulldogs.
The Yellowjackets and Bulldogs meet in the second half of a four-team spring jamboree today at Davis Wade Stadium on the campus of Mississippi State.

Wolverines respect way the Eagles play

MABEN – There won't be much need for scouting the next opponent for the East Webster Wolverines.
As members of Class 2A, Region 2, the Wolverines and rival Eupora Eagles met twice during the regular season.
East Webster won an 8-2 decision at home and also defeated the Eagles in Eupora, but the result was much closer at 7-5.

Eupora sees all work pay off in postseason

EUPORA – Coach Brad Mitchell thought fans were getting their money’s worth by attending the Eupora and Baldwyn series.
Things have been turned up a notch as the Eagles see all their hard work pay off to place them in a best-of-three series with county rival East Webster for the Class 2A North Half Championship. The series begins tonight in Cumberland at 7 p.m.
