MSU's Day suspended one game

Mississippi State will be without center Dillon Day for one game.
The Southeastern Conference announced Tuesday that the senior is suspended for one game after video surfaced of him stomping on two LSU players last Saturday.
Day will serve his suspension Oct. 4 as the Bulldogs welcome Texas A&M to Davis Wade Stadium.

Mullen wants Bulldogs to rest during bye week

Mississippi State head coach Dan Mullen doesn't know if a bye week can come at a good time or a bad time.
The No. 14 Bulldogs (4-0, 1-0) are in the midst of their first, and many believe it is a good time for it.
MSU is coming off an emotional win over LSU, which is the first against the Tigers since 1999. The Bulldogs are back on the field two Saturdays from now when they host Texas A&M.

Wilson plays many sports at East Webster, including the responsibility of the starting quarterback every Friday night for the Wolverines.
He may be the signal caller for his coach Doug Wilson, but he is also his son.

Starkville police arrested a local man early Sunday morning after he allegedly tried to break into Ward Stewart Elementary School.
Terry Lee Coggins, 21, of 113 Henderson St. is being held in Oktibbeha County Jail on suspicion of attempted burglary and disorderly conduct. He was released Monday night after posting $5,000 bond.
