Bulldogs to face Wildcats to open SEC Softball Tournament

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are a different softball team, a better one, than last time it played against the Kentucky Wildcats.
Back in early March, MSU lost two out of three games at home to Kentucky, including being no-hit by Kelsey Nunley.

Coach Vann Stuedeman calls her the “backbone of the team” and while watching the Mississippi State softball team in action, it is easy to see why.
This season alone senior Heidi Shape leads the team in walks with 39 and hit by pitches with 18. Combine those together and Shape has the highest on-base percentage on the team at .455.

The Mississippi State Bulldogs are in another good position this baseball season.
As poorly as the Bulldogs have played at times this year, they have still managed a pretty good record at 31-18, stand 14-10 in the Southeastern Conference and second place in the Western Division and remain ranked in the top 20 of the Collegiate Baseball poll at No. 18.

Coach Ginger Brown-Lemm and the Mississippi State women's golf team returns to a state where success has happened for the Bulldogs.
Mississippi State tees off Thursday at the Central Regional at Karsten Creek Golf Club in Stillwater, Okla.. as the No. 11 seed.
The Bulldogs finished third with Ally McDonald winning the individual at last year's Central Regional in Norman, Okla.

Services will be held on Thursday, May 8 at the Church of the Resurrection in Starkville, MS. Visitation will be at 1:00 PM followed by the memorial service at 2:00 PM. The service will conclude with a procession to the Church's Columbarium for inurnment. Rev. Lee Winter will officiate.
