Americans reclaim Cup: USA Team captures Handa event 28-20

WEST POINT – United States teams haven't had the best of results in team golf events around the world the last few years.
The American men lost the Ryder Cup for the third straight time Sunday, while the women have lost two Solheim Cups in a row.

Wolverines show 26 solid football quarters of getting better

East Webster football coach Doug Wilson had a plan for all 26 quarters of non-division competition this season.
He wanted to see the Wolverines improve with each snap of those quarters.
Even though it hasn't been perfect as East Webster lost one of those games, Wilson likes where his team stands.

Edward Tomlin

Mr. Edward L. Tomlin, 91, of Starkville, MS; passed away at his residence on Friday, September 26, 2014.
Mr. Tomlin was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.  He loved his grandchildren and was an avid gardener and a fan of Mississippi State Athletics. Ed loved hunting and fishing.

Team USA shows fight: ISPS Handa Cup event tied at 12-12

WEST POINT – United States captain Nancy Lopez witnessed some good golf Saturday afternoon.
She saw it especially from her team.
Team USA rallied in the afternoon matches to square the ISPS Handa Cup at Old Waverly Golf Club at 12-12 against Team World entering today's 12 single matches.

It felt a little bit like 1999.
Some of the greatest women's professional golfers of all time have been present the last few days at Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point for competition at the Legend Tour's ISPS Handa Cup.
For some of them, it has been the first time to be at Old Waverly since they participated at the U.S. Women's Open in 1999.
