The Starkville Board of Aldermen decided at its Tuesday meeting to put off a decision on a multi-million dollar purchase of Cadence Bank’s downtown headquarters to turn into a new police station, choosing instead to seek further information on the issue.

Flo Henley remembers the apartment where Angela Lindsey used to live with her four children. 
She was part of the Starkville Habitat for Humanity family selection committee that visited the apartment, and she said it only had two rooms, with Lindsey’s four children all living in one of those rooms. They slept, she said, on a bunk bed and one single bed with a trundle.

Chase was right in front of their nose the entire time.
On Tuesday, Chase Nicholson was introduced as the next coach of the Volunteers and everyone involved seems to be comfortable with the move.

Mississippi State fans will be able to bring their tradition to South Florida over the holiday season.
The MSU athletic department announced Tuesday that cowbells will be permitted at the Capital One Orange Bowl at Sun Life Stadium. The Bulldogs take on Georgia Tech New Year's Eve.

It has been a while since Mississippi State has played in the friendly confines of Humphrey Coliseum. 
The last time was 23 days ago when the Bulldogs beat Clayton State on Nov. 24. Since that time, MSU has played two neutral site games and two true road games. They are 1-3 in those contest and have lost three in a row.
