Starkville Academy sets high standards when it comes to its school and those that attend. The expectations do not stop when the books close as the same standards are expected of the Volunteer athletes anytime they put on the orange and blue.

Starkville High School boys basketball coach Greg Carter says that Mississippi Delta Community College is not only getting a good player in Richard Evans, but an outstanding leader.
Evans signed with Mississippi Delta on Wednesday.
Being that Evans was a point guard for the Yellowjackets, Carter counted on him to be able to run things on the court.

Honors keep coming for MSU's Lindgren

Mississippi State's Jacob Lindgren's junior year in baseball just keeps getting better.
The left-handed pitcher was selected to Baseball America's All-American team and was a second team All-American by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers of America as announced on Tuesday.
Lindgren was also selected to the All-Southeastern Conference first team in May.
