Eupora defeats Simmons at home

EUPORA – Rusty Johnson came up big at the dish and on the mound, leading the Eupora Eagles to a 19-2 win over Hollandale Simmons on Thursday during the first round of the Class 2A playoffs.
Johnson reached base three times. He scored two runs and had one RBI. He doubled in the third inning.

In a career that has brought much satisfaction, Lenahan said the best has come this year.
Going into the final home Southeastern Conference series of the season, the Bulldogs have achieved a 35-15 overall mark and have won the last two conference series over top five competition.

State men have momentum going into SEC Golf Championships

The Bulldogs have won their last two appearances in a tournament and hope that carries over this weekend.
MSU starts the SEC Championship Friday at Sea Island Golf Club's Seaside Course on St. Simons Island, Ga. Bulldog head coach Clay Homan feels like his team is in a good place.
