James Harold Smith was born on December 24, 1942 in Starkville, Mississippi to Ms. Lula Roberson and Mr. L.D. â€śHog Eyeâ€ť Smith. He departed his life on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 at The University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson.
Melvin Lee Kornegay, 48, passed away on April 25, 2014 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Warren Kornegay and Mary Alice Collins.
Ann McGee Bruce, 87, or Starkville, MS passed away on Friday April 25, 2014 at Vickers Personal Care Home in Starkville, MS. She was born on November 24, 1926 to the late Frank and Mary Evelyn Melton McGee. She was a member of Pheba United Methodist Church and a school teacher.

The No. 20 Bulldogs dropped a 6-4 decision to Texas A&M to lose the weekend series to the Aggies.
"We just got off to a horrendous start," MSU head coach John Cohen said. "We were just a step slow in everything we did."
