Bulldogs can be found in various football All-Star contests

Although their careers with the Mississippi State Bulldogs may be over, two players have one more chance to prove what they bring to the gridiron.
Running back LaDarius Perkins and linebacker Deontae Skinner will both be playing in All-Star games Saturday.
Offensive lineman Gabe Jackson will also play in an All-Star game, the Senior Bowl, but it isn’t scheduled until next Saturday.

Starkville Academy picks up home soccer win

The Starkville Academy Volunteers picked up a win over Hillcrest Christian on the soccer field Monday, but coach Cole Andrews said it did not feel like a true win.
On Friday, the team changed all that as the Volunteers picked up a “confident” 3-0 victory over visiting Washington.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Household of Faith Church, Eupora, Mississippi.
Visitation will be Friday, January 17, 2014 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Household of Faith Church, Eupora, Mississippi.
Burial will follow at Embry Cemetery, Bellfontaine, Mississippi.
