The sudden death of Huey P

Oswalt's first pitch the hit of SBA day

Baseball is back in Starkville and on Saturday things were in full swing at McKee Park.
From the singing of the national anthem by a local high school student Reagan Hunt to major league pitcher Roy Oswalt throwing out the ceremonial first pitch, Saturday was highlighted by non-stop action and fun as the Starkville Baseball Association held its opening day.

Bulldog senior pitcher gets milestone in win

Stephanie Becker has been striking out batters ever since she stepped onto the Mississippi State campus.
On Saturday, Becker etched her name into the MSU record book.
The senior left hander started the game with a strikeout of R.T. Cantillo for her 407th career punch out and set a new MSU career strikeout record in the process.
