Firefighters with the Starkville Fire Department are learning the ins and outs of the cityâ€™s new ladder truck technology this week. Chief Rodger Mann said the crew would begin training today on the truckâ€™s operations and pump system. The city obtained the new truck on May 29, a replacement for the 28-year-old Engine No. 2.
The Starkville School District Board of Trustees will consider approving a $9.95 million bond for facility maintenance projects at its meeting at 6 p.m. today at the Greensboro Center.
Alice Gray Black, 75, of Sturgis, MS; passed away at her residence on Monday, June 10, 2013 surrounded by her family.
