Starkville 12's run ends with third place at State

COLUMBUS – The ride is over for the 12-year-old Starkville All-Stars.
On Tuesday, the team took the field against Louisville in an effort to play its way back into the Dizzy Dean State championship game, but was unsuccessful as it lost 15-3.

Starkville 10's come up short

July 9, 2013

WINONA – It was a long day of Dizzy Dean competition on Monday for the Starkville 10-year-old All-Stars. After a rain delay in game one, the team did not see action end until around 10 p.m.
In game one, the team defeated Winona 27-11 and it would seem Starkville was on its way to breaking out of the loser’s bracket and into the championship series, but it just was not meant to be.

Only one win stands between the Starkville Americans 8-year-olds and the Dizzy Dean South State Championship.
Charlie Williamson knows how important that statement is, but being so young he says it might take a little while for it to sink in for his team.

Starkville 12-year olds drop heartbreaker

COLUMBUS – Monday was not the best of days for the Starkville 12-year-old all-star team. With the team only needing one win to put them in the Dizzy Dean championship game, Starkville lost a heartbreaker to Columbus 11-1.

The Starkville Community Market is halfway through its season, and all is going well.

“We’re midway through, and we’re definitely going to go into August,” said Market Board President Julie White. “We’re not sure how far we’ll go. It just depends on how our produce holds up.”
