One of the biggest questions coming into the season for Mississippi State, was what were the wide receivers going to look like?
With just days before the Bulldogs kick off the season against the No. 13 (Associated Press) Oklahoma State Cowboys in Houston, Tex., one receiver feels very confident in himself, the receivers and the entire offense.

The Houston Colt .45s got a new home in 1965.
The Astrodome was erected as the world's first multi-purpose, domed sports stadium.
The baseball team changed its name from the .45s to the Astros because of the Astrodome.
In that same year, Mississippi State traveled to Houston to take on the Houston Cougars in football.
The game was played at the Astrodome to start the college football season.

Champ has made himself at home on the couch in Lisa Pritchard’s office at the Animal Health Center, laying on his side and snoring. For Champ, also known as Bully XX, the days of being just a dog are coming to an end.

On Saturday Champ will don the Mississippi State University harness and begin his fourth year as the live mascot.

Three injured in wreck Sunday

Three people were injured Sunday evening when a pickup collided with a passenger car at the intersection of Old Highway 25 and Poorhouse Road. Oktibbeha County Sheriff's Department Commander Brett Watson said three individuals in the car were injured in the wreck and were taken to OCH Regional Medical Center. The pickup truck driver declined medical treatment.
