The senior quarterback will be starting his second year as the starter under center.
Last season the Meridian native broke many school records, so unlike many other positions, quarterback is decided.

Eupora ready to host tournament

EUPORA - It's a tough way to begin the season for the Eupora Lady Eagles.
After getting some experience at last weekend's jamboree in Neshoba County, the Lady Eagles host the Eupora Classic tournament.
The field also features six teams including Grenada, New Hope, Bruce, East Webster and Calhoun City.

Aldermen propose millage increase - City attorney to report on municipal complex project

For the first time since the 1980s, Starkville could see a millage increase.

In a budget meeting Tuesday night, the Starkville Board of Aldermen reviewed 2013-14 budget proposals line by line, but at the end of the day determined with the city’s existing obligations and growing needs a tax increase could no longer be avoided.

Thomas Wayne O’Brian, formerly of Maben, passed away at his home in Chatsworth, Ga. on Aug. 3, 2013. He was 64 years old.
