Resident of Arlington, VA for more than fifty five years, passed away July 14, 2013 at Sunrise George Mason. He was 94.

Born July 24, 1918 in Starkville, MS, he was the only child of Harry and Effie Alston. His wife, Lucy Alston died in 1990.

Emma McMoore, 63, passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2013 at St. Mary’s Medical Center, Richmond Heights, (St. Louis) MO.  Funeral Services were held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at New Zion U.M. Church, Rev. Tyrone Stallings, Pastor; Rev. James Covington Jr., officiator.

Mr. Tony Stribling, 57, passed away on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at his residence on Craig Springs Road in Sturgis, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday, July 25, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 9 a.m. until service time at Friendship Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m.

Bulldogs look to handle adversity better in 2013 football season

The Bulldogs started last year with a 7-0 record, but struggled down the stretch.

One of the ways Easley has chosen to do this is with a camp.
Easley will host a camp Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday at the Starkville Sportsplex for girls ages 7-16.
