Detz the Bulldog: MSU third baseman was almost Beaver

June 13, 2013

Mississippi State's Alex Detz could have very easily been in an Oregon State jersey when the two teams meet in the opening game of the College World Series Saturday.
Detz was very close to being a Beaver instead of a Bulldog.
Following his junior college career at Cuesta (Calif.) College, Detz was ready to just move up the West Coast and attend Oregon State.

For avid runners and cyclists like Josh and Robin Walden, navigating traffic in town can be a dangerous venture. The couple uses the city’s bike paths and sidewalks almost daily, and while they said some areas had significantly improved, others could use work.
