SHS students to host Living Legacy tour

Graveyard tours do not have to be meditations on death.
Leah Gibson, a senior at Starkville High School, is the student coordinator for a different kind of graveyard tour. There will be ghost stories, but she said the bulk of the tour would focus on the lives led by those now buried at Oddfellows Cemetery and other locales across the city and county.

Bulldogs cruise to 12-1 win over Tigers

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – It is pretty much automatic that when Ross Mitchell enters a game, he is going to win it.
It was no different Tuesday night.
The Mississippi State sophomore right hander pitched six solid innings in relief and the No. 17 (Collegiate Baseball) Bulldogs cruised to a 12-1 win over the Memphis Tigers in front of 3,428 at Autozone Park.

Starkville High starts spring work with Tuesday practice

The Starkville High School football coaching staff probably felt more like traffic cops than coaches on Tuesday afternoon.
For the first time since winning the Class 5A State championship last December, the Yellowjackets hit the field for practice.
