MSU to offer 3-year degree programs

According to Mississippi State University Relations, the university will begin to offer 23 three-year degree programs beginning this fall.

Kiwanis ending 37 years of concessions service

Starkville's Kiwanis Club members have been raising funds through volunteer concession stand labor at Humphrey Coliseum for the last 37 years, but at Saturday's home basketball game at 4:30 p.m. against the Auburn Tigers, they will serve their last boxes of popcorn.

City employee faces embezzlement count, resigns

Starkville officials confirmed a former accounts receivable clerk for the city has resigned after an internal investigation involving the city and Starkville Police Department resulted in a felony charge of embezzlement.

Court records state Latonya Henderson is charged with embezzling $846 of city money on or about Feb. 1.

Officials declined further comment on the personnel matter.
