Ackerman quartet chose destinations for next level

ACKERMAN – A quartet of Ackerman Indians made their college destinations known on Wednesday morning.

Ackerman fans already knew where Trent Furr and Lenny Taylor were continuing their careers, but it was not until mid-morning, they learned where Alex Foust and Quinton Lane were going to end up.

Parking fine increases delayed until June

If Starkville Aldermen approved downtown parking fine increases effective immediately, there would have been one problem, Police Chief David Lindley said at the board’s Tuesday meeting.

The people tasked with writing parking tickets wouldn’t be able to write any more of them until they got new ones.
