Once again, Valentine's Day is almost upon us. This "holiday" of sorts is the perfect time to show your significant other how much he or she means to you and what better place to do that than in the kitchen.

I was skeptical about running one of my favorite recipes in the Taste section because I wanted to keep this one to myself, but on such a special occasion, I must acknowledge this delicious dish passed on to me by my mother who celebrates a birthday today, Feb. 6.

It wasn't the best week for the Mississippi State men's basketball team on the court.
The Bulldogs held halftime leads in both games they played this week, but let things slip away in the second half.
"(It was a) tough week for us on the basketball court," MSU head coach Rick Ray said during Monday's Southeastern Conference teleconference. "I thought we were competitive in two games."
Between two of the most important football dates of the year, the Starkville Rotary Club had a reason to talk baseball on Monday.
Mississippi State baseball coach John Cohen used his popular power-point method to turn the attention of the Rotarians from the Super Bowl and National Signing Day, set for Wednesday, to Bulldog baseball at the Starkville Country Club.
