A school board election will be held noon to 5 p.m. March 2 to choose a candidate to represent the portion of Starkville School District which lies outside city limits but within the school system’s borders.

BREAKING: Coroner Hunt pleads guilty to DUI charge

Oktibbeha County Coroner Michael Hunt pleaded guilty today to one charge of driving under the influence in Lowndes County Justice Court.

Hunt, 46, was arrested November 8 in Columbus and charged with his first DUI and careless driving. He was not in a county owned vehicle.

The Mississippi State men's basketball team have had its fair share of ups and downs this season.
The non-conference portion of the schedule has taught head coach Rick Ray and the Bulldogs several things.

MSU has dropped an embarrassing 59-57 loss to Alabama A&M at home on Dec. 30, 2012. The Bulldogs then rebounded with dominating 97-46 win over New Orleans last Thursday.
