MSU's Dillingham honored by league

December 23, 2013

Mississippi State freshman guard Dominique Dillingham has burst onto the women's college basketball scene.
She proved it this past week.
After totaling 22 points in two games for the Bulldogs, Dillingham was the Southeastern Conference Freshman of the Week.
Dillingham scored five points and pulled down five rebounds in her first start as MSU beat North Dakota State on the road.

Tucker improving on lanes for SHS

Experience has been key for Jackets

It's not hard to see the reason why the Starkville Yellowjackets are off to such a successful start to the basketball season.
All an individual has to do is look at the SHS roster and see 11 seniors.
The Jackets have used that experience to get off to a 9-2 start.

Due to the late tipoff Monday night (9:30 p.m.) for the Mississippi State men's basketball game in the Las Vegas Classic against UNLV, the Starkville Daily News will not be able to have next day coverage in Tuesday's edition.

MSU offensive lineman makes most of return for senior season

Things will change drastically for Gabe Jackson when Mississippi State walks off the field at Liberty Bowl Stadium in Memphis, Tenn., after the AutoZone Liberty Bowl.
The senior offensive lineman will never again wear the maroon and white, rather he will be suiting up for a National Football League team.

Competition in Columbus: SHS boys falter against Midfield

COLUMBUS – The Midfield (Ala.) Patriots are No. 1 in their classification for a reason.
On Saturday afternoon at the Joe Horne Christmas Classic, the Patriots showed the Starkville Yellowjackets why they are so well-respected in Alabama.
Midfield went on a 16-0 run after Starkville had taken a lead in the fourth quarter and ended up defeating the Jackets 76-64.
