It was only a week ago at this time when Mississippi State's bowl chances were looking very bleak.

E.J. Hollis, 87, passed away on November 26, 2013 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville, MS.Â He was the retired owner of Hollis Brothers and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Starkville.Â He was also an Army veteran.
Mr. Hollis was preceded in death by his parents, Deewitt Augustus Hollis and Mae Henderson Hollis; and grandson, Bubba Hollis.
