All of the freshman are gearing up for their first bowl game, and the redshirt freshman are also looking for an opportunity to play.

SA's Barber signs with Belhaven

Starkville Academy softball player Mary Austin Barber has known for a while that Belhaven would be her destination for softball at the next level.

She made the move official this week.

Barber signed with the Jackson-based school and celebrated the occasion with family and friends Friday night at Meadowview Baptist Church.

Eupora, West Oktibbeha split a pair of non-conference games

Eupora and West Oktibbeha tipped off Friday evening. At night’s end the teams split with the Lady Eagles taking a 50-47 victory, while the Timberwolves claimed the boy’s contest 81-36.

The Lady Eagles and Lady Timberwolves faced off in what resulted in a back and forth contest that came down to the last period before Eupora left the court victorious.
