Leaders from more than four dozen local organizations will convene 11:30 a.m. today at OCH Regional Medical Center to discuss methods to strengthen quality of life in Starkville.

The Starkville Historic Preservation Commission discussed methods for disseminating information about its proposed local historic districts at its meeting Tuesday, but it did not set concrete dates for meetings in the Overstreet, Greensboro and Nash Street neighborhoods targeted for historic districts.

The Provine High School Rams may not have the type of record that is overly impressive, but they have a running game that does.
Frank Jenkins and Robert Lee have combined for 714 yards rushing this season. Jenkins is the top rushing Ram with 388 yards on 85 carries.
Sometimes it's hard to find a silver lining when a soccer team doesn't score a goal in a match.
