Starkville School District administrators are working to resolve a data issue which is delaying parents’ online access to their children’s grades, absences and discipline reports.

The Starkville Board of Aldermen voted Tuesday to table discussion of the Junior Auxiliary Chilifest planned for Oct. 19 when board members raised concerns about the event’s impact on traffic, its insurance, its admission cost and the precedent it could set for other events.

The Oktibbeha County School District Board of Directors will consider two changes to districtwide student discipline policies 6 p.m. Thursday at the district’s office.
The Eupora and West Oktibbeha football teams have much in common, but have approached its matchup against the other in different ways.
The Eagles and Timberwolves square off in Eupora at 7:30 p.m. tonight.
Eupora reached its 3-0 record by coming off a 22-13 win over Winona last week.

The West Point Green Wave are looking to get a little bit better each week.
After getting beaten on a last-second field goal by South Panola 12-10 in the first week, West Point had an open date before defeating Columbus last Friday 26-19.
The Green Wave make the trip to face rival Starkville at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
The winner of the football matchup between the Mississippi State Bulldogs and the Auburn Tigers on Saturday will gain an early advantage in the Southeastern Conference Western Division race.
It creates a certain measure of pressure on quarterbacks making their seventh and second starts of their careers.
Mrs. Maxine Bross, 89, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at her residence in Haleyville, Ala.Â

Burial will follow at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery.

Mrs. Dorothy Mae Evans, 84, died Saturday, Sept. 1, 2012 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, 2012 at Second Baptist Church with Rev. Joseph Stone officiating.
Burial will follow at Rest Haven Cemetery.
Mr. Hayes Daniel, 63, died Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, 2012 at First United Methodist Church.
Burial followed at Brooksville Cemetery with Rev. Russell Mord officiating.
Visitation was held 5-7 p.m. Monday, Sept. 3, 2012 at Cockrell Funeral Home in Macon.
Mr. Douglas Howell Goodwin, 49, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2012 at OCH Regional Medical Center in Starkville.Â
Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at First United Methodist Church in Starkville with Rev. Tommy Temple officiating.
Burial will follow at Memorial Garden Park.
Visitation will be held noon to 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, 2012 at First United Methodist Church.
