Why is it that every person that claims ‘not-to-be-a-cook’ has a recipe that everyone wants?
Growing up, Von Smith had a love for the quarterback position.
As a senior at West Oktibbeha, he is playing the position and the game he loves.
"When I was young, I always wanted to be the guy that threw the ball," Smith said. "Coach (Adam) Lowrey has taught me how to read defenses. I can step out on the field and look at a defense and know what we can use."
Justin Williams found out during the summer that he was going to be the next starting quarterback of the East Oktibbeha Titans.
Since then he has worked on being the type of leader that East Oktibbeha coach Randy Brooks expects him to be.
Through the first four games for the Titans this season, Brooks likes what he sees from the junior signal caller.
There are some big division football games on the schedule this Friday for area high school teams.
When a squad starts experiencing a little bit of success, the importance of games becomes bigger and bigger.
Take the East Oktibbeha Titans for example.
