New research park building opens at MSU

Mississippi State officials will join with U.S. Sens. Thad Cochran and Roger Wicker and U.S. Rep. Gregg Harper Monday [Sept. 17] to celebrate the grand opening of the newest building in the Thad Cochran Research, Technology and Economic Development Park.

Craftsmen’s Guild of Miss. welcomes Starkville artist

Along with 12 other members, the Craftsmen’s Guild of Mississippi welcomed local artist and craftsman Dylan Karges into its prestigious organization after an August jury process.

Karges said he thought about joining the guild for years and worked with the organization to bring a collection to Mississippi State University for an exhibit.

Georgia's attack too much for MSU volleyball

The Georgia Bulldogs went on the attack against Mississippi State in Southeastern Conference volleyball on Sunday.

There wasn't much the homestanding Bulldogs could do about it at Newell-Grissom Building as Georgia won a 3-1 decision.

Georgia was the aggressor by making good on a .303 hitting percentage, while Mississippi State's percentage dipped to .190 by the end of the match.

Kardos debuts novel ‘The Three-Day Affair’

For his debut novel, Michael Kardos is hitting the road, but not in the fun-loving, friendly road trip sort of way.

Beginning 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 18 in the Rogers Auditorium at Mississippi State University, Kardos will host a book launch for "The Three-Day Affair."

To create is to bring things into being by having having a costume such as the dress of a bulldog, spelled in our great state of Mississippi and the finest university, Mississippi State University. We spell our bulldog who is our mascot, bulldawg!

Bucket lists change as time passes

Life is like a roll of toilet paper.  The closer to the end you get, the faster it goes. 

This was a milestone year for the Class of ’65 and we had planned to milk it for all it was worth. Like Sleeping Beauty, we must have fallen asleep somewhere around Valentines Day and Prince Charming is out on a date with a 30-something year old, leaving us to snooze.
