Take a moment of an opportunity to tell someone with deep emotion that you care and that you love them. You suddenly have seized, held within your own heart, eagerly, quickly and very clearly let another human being know that he or she was important in your life. This only took a second of your own life.

Drewry’s home offers love for animal family

For Faye and Clyde Drewry, an animal's love is one of God's greatest gifts.

With 13 cats and 12 dogs, the Drewrys have taken in and adopted quite the menagerie at their country home.

Bulldogs rally for 3-1 win against Warhawks

Mississippi State's young volleyball team stuck to the plan even when things did not go well early in its afternoon match against the University of Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks at the Newell-Grissom Building.

Despite losing the first set 30-28, the Bulldogs took the next three by consecutive 25-18 scores and won a 3-1 decision in the Maroon Classic.

Kennesaw State deals blow to home team in final match

In order for a team to achieve great things it must first learn the lessons that build character and develop toughness.

The youthful Mississippi State volleyball squad experienced one such learning moment Saturday night as it dropped the final match of the Maroon Classic 3-2 to Kennesaw State.

Berryhill has East Webster off to 9-0 start

MABEN – When Lee Berryhill took the softball head coaching job at East Webster, he didn't know much about his team or what he was getting into.

Early in his first year with the Lady Wolverines, he has gotten his slowpitch team to a 9-0 record after wins against Tupelo 13-1 and Saltillo 17-4 on Saturday.

Much of the success has to do with his team buying into the concept of 'team.'

Investigation, difficult news for MSU fans

The news was tough for Mississippi State football fans to hear this week.

There's no college program in America that wants to hear, "NCAA investigation," but that's exactly what came to light for the Bulldogs.

Officials from MSU and the NCAA confirmed Thursday that it's working closely with each other concerning an ongoing investigation.

Grady W. Clark Jr., 82, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012 at Brooklyn Hall Personal Care Home in Mathiston.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 27, 2012 at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow later in Greenwood Cemetery in West Point.
Visitation will be held 10-11 a.m. at Calvert Funeral Home.
