The Starkville School District Board of Directors denied one parent’s request for her children to transfer from the Oktibbeha County School District to the SSD, but it accepted the same request from Orlando Trainer, because he has become an SSD employee.

Aldermen approve MDOT drainage fix after deliberation

After robust debate on approving using $20,000 from the city’s storm drainage budget for a capital improvement project on a portion of Miss. Highway 182, the Starkville Board of Aldermen chose to do so in a 5-1 vote with one abstention at its meeting Tuesday.

Sitel in Starkville to add 100-150 jobs

Sitel Corp. announced plans Tuesday to hire 3,000 more workers in the U.S. and Canada, and a Sitel representative has confirmed 100-150 of those jobs will be coming to Sitel’s Starkville offices.

MSU returns to the friendly confines of Humphrey Coliseum

Berryhill of SHS signs to continue career at JCJC

Carolina Berryhill may be hanging up her Starkville Yellowjacket jersey after this season, but it will not be long before she dresses out in a new set of colors.
