It also sported the longest run in series history.

After Ole Miss took an early 7-0 lead in the first quarter, Mississippi State sophomore wide receiver Jameon Lewis took the ensuing kickoff 100 yards for a score.

3 nominations still unknown for LINK board

Three nominations remain to be announced for a board charged with representing Oktibbeha County in tri-county economic development initiatives.

Last week, the Oktibbeha County Board of Supervisors nominated Zelma Talley, a retired businessperson, to serve on a four-person board which will be comprised of local representatives.

BACK TO JACKSON: Jackets go through Wave once again to reach State

It seems that history is repeating itself.

Last year the Starkville High School football team lost to West Point in the regular season, but beat them in the playoffs on route to Jackson.
SHS lost to West Point 47-22 on Sept. 7.

The Yellowjackets followed history and beat the Green Wave 29-28 in an overtime thriller to win the Class 5A North State title at Yellowjacket Stadium.
