EUPORA – Eupora may be returning everyone to its Lady Eagle basketball team, but there is one new addition to the team in 2012-2013.

With the retirement of Curtis Ford, Bryant Thomas not only coaches the boys but also enters his first stint at coaching girls’ basketball.

Legislators aim to prevent child abuse

JACKSON — “Erin’s Law” is described as a tool to keep sexual predators away from children. Four states — Maine, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri — have enacted it and a dozen more may consider it in 2013.

Rep. Tom Miles, D-Forest, and Sen. Nancy Collins, R-Tupelo, want Mississippi to be among them. They’re drafting a bill for 2013 with help from the Children’s Justice Center.

The drought continues: Bulldogs see losing skid grow to 13 against LSU

BATON ROUGE, La. – Mississippi State was trying to do something they hadn't done in a while.
When the dust settled, the Bulldogs were not going to be making history.

MSU, ranked No. 22 by The Associated Press, was trying to snap a 12-game losing streak to LSU, but it dropped a 37-17 victory to the No. 9 Tigers Saturday night in Tiger Stadium.

MSU's Russell sets single season mark

BATON ROUGE, La. – Tyler Russell is just adding to what has already been a career year for a Mississippi State quarterback.

In Saturday's 37-17 loss to LSU, the junior signal called found Chad Bumphis for 14-yard passing score early in the third quarter to give him 17 touchdowns this season.

The 17 touchdowns breaks the MSU season career record.

For 11 Mississippi State University fine arts students, years of creative expression and hard work comes down to their much-anticipated thesis exhibition debuting Tuesday.

Art student Jesse Thames said the show's title, "Commune," expresses unity and communication through a diverse amount of individuals.
