Wilson, Liggins lead Wolverines to victory

MABEN – Freshman Jack Wilson and sophomore Deangelo Liggins combined for 276 yards and four touchdowns to help the East Webster Wolverines defeat J.Z. George 34-6 on Friday night.

It wasn't exactly the start that East Webster coach Doug Wilson had in mind, but as the game went on, he was more pleased.

Eupora crushes Hamilton

EUPORA – Last season the Eupora Eagles had a rough ride home from Hamilton.

On Friday night, they made it a difficult ride for the Lions back to Hamilton.

The Eagles (7-1, 2-0) got revenge on the Lions (3-5, 1-1) with a 55-15 victory at Wafford Field on homecoming in a Class 2A, Region 2, District 4.

West Oktibbeha picks up victory on the road

ETHEL – Tiberias Lampkin had five rushing touchdowns and the West Oktibbeha Timberwolves spoiled Ethel's homecoming with a 50-14 victory Friday night.

Lampkin ended the night with 118 yards on 15 carries.

The Timberwolves improved their overall record to 6-1 and 4-0 in Class A, Region 3, District 4.
West Oktibbeha host district foe West Lowndes next Friday night.

General Election registration end comes Saturday

Potential Oktibbeha County voters have until noon tomorrow to register for the Nov. 6 General Election.

The Oktibbeha County Circuit Clerk’s office, located at 108 West Main St. in Starkville, will open 8 a.m. Saturday to accommodate last-minute registration for first-time voters and those who have relocated to the area.
