The T.K. Martin Center for Technology and Disability at Mississippi State University is ready to run, walk, roll, stroll, skate or dance its way through a one-mile course with the help of the Starkville community when it hosts its first Fun Run at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Oct. 26.

Sales tax month is record highest yet

August 2012 marked the second month on record where Starkville sales tax revenues crested $500,000, but 2 percent hotel tax revenues for the month were significantly lower than those in August 2011, according to the city of Starkville’s latest sales tax report.

Main Street group takes ownership of community market

Jackets sting on defense;Starkville gets another shutout in division play

The Starkville Yellowjackets remain perfect in Class 5A, Region 2, District 6 play as the defense pitched yet another shutout in the 46-0 win over Yazoo City on Friday night.
 
The Jackets now own a 20-quarter streak of not allowing a touchdown. The streak spans all five division contests this season and it is a streak the Yellowjackets take great pride in.
